Research Interests: Music-making in relation to identity and embodiment, feminist approaches to music history and criticism, queer studies in music. Dr. Cusick is currently completing a monograph on the early 17th-century singer, teacher and composer Francesca Caccini (University of Chicago Press).
Fellowships/Honors: Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellow at Villa I Tatti, the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (2001-2002)
